Website and Program Registration Terms and Conditions
By creating an account or registering on the HSAFP website, you acknowledge and agree to the following terms and conditions:
👤 Eligibility and Parental Consent

Registration is open to high school students and others interested in medicine and healthcare careers.

If you are under the age of 13, you may only register with the express consent of a parent or legal guardian, as required by law (including the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act, “COPPA”).

By registering, you represent and warrant that:

You are at least 13 years old, or
-
You have obtained verifiable parental/legal guardian consent if under 13.

HSAFP reserves the right to request proof of age or parental/guardian consent at any time.
✅ User Agreement
By registering for an account, you affirm that:

You have read and agree to the HSAFP Terms & Conditions and the Privacy Policy.

You agree to comply with all rules, policies, and directives issued by HSAFP.

You acknowledge that account access and participation may be suspended or revoked at HSAFP’s discretion.
⚖️ Liability, Assumption of Risk, and Indemnification

Assumption of Risk
By registering, you (and your parent/guardian if under 18) acknowledge that participation in HSAFP activities, programs, and website use is voluntary. You assume all risks associated with participation, including but not limited to interactions with other members, educational programming, and third-party resources. -
No Guarantee of Outcomes
HSAFP programs are educational in nature. HSAFP makes no guarantees, representations, or warranties regarding college admissions, medical school acceptance, scholarships, internships, or future educational or professional outcomes. -
Release of Liability
You hereby release and hold harmless HSAFP, its employees, officers, contractors, and affiliates from any and all claims, liabilities, demands, or causes of action arising from participation in HSAFP activities, programming, or use of HSAFP resources. -
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, HSAFP’s total liability for any claim arising from your participation or use of HSAFP services shall not exceed the total amount you have paid for registration (if any). If no fee is paid, HSAFP’s liability shall be limited to $0. -
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless HSAFP, its employees, officers, and affiliates from any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from:-
Your use of the HSAFP website or services,

Your participation in HSAFP programs,

Your violation of these Terms, or
-
Any harm caused by your conduct to other users or third parties.

Third-Party Links and Content
HSAFP may provide links to third-party resources, websites, or services. HSAFP is not responsible for the content, security, or practices of any third-party providers and expressly disclaims liability for your use of or reliance on such external resources.
🚫 Non-Disparagement

Users agree not to engage in conduct intended or reasonably expected to harm HSAFP’s reputation, goodwill, or credibility.

This includes refraining from making negative or disparaging statements (verbal, written, or online) about HSAFP, its staff, or its programs.

This clause is enforceable to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.
🔐 Account Registration & Security
To access member resources and services:

You must register with accurate and complete information.
-
You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials and agree to use strong, secure passwords.

You are fully responsible for all activity under your account.

If you believe your account has been compromised, you must notify HSAFP immediately.
❌ Account Termination (User Request)

You may request account deletion by contacting HSAFP directly at support@hsafp.org.

Account deletion does not entitle you to any form of compensation.
⚠️ Account Suspension or Deletion (HSAFP Action)
HSAFP reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to suspend or delete any account, without notice, for conduct including but not limited to:

Use of inappropriate, offensive, or unlawful content.

Violation of these Terms and Conditions or the Privacy Policy.

Misrepresentation of age or parental consent.
Account suspension or deletion does not entitle the user to any refund, compensation, or damages.
📌 Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
